Living History

Listen to Details of Grant's life and how Julia and the children accompanied the General throughout the War.

In 1864 Lt. General U.S. Grant commanded over 500,000 soldiers.  Despite being the General in Chief of the most powerful army in the world, Grant lived a spartan lifestyle while in the field. See a reproduction of his headquarters tent containing personal items he carried with him while in the field.  Jack will be present with full accouterments.
